Temple, Georgia — The city of Temple is on high alert as law enforcement continues a widespread manhunt for David Emsley Wheeles, an inmate who walked off a prison work detail without being noticed until hours later

Posted on October 13, 2025 by Usainsightreport

The escape has raised questions about supervision and security at prison work sites. Carroll County officials have said a full review of procedures will take place once Wheeles is recaptured, but for now, their priority remains locating the fugitive and preventing any further risk to the public.

As the manhunt continues into its second day, the city of Temple remains on high alert. Law enforcement officials have pledged to continue search operations around the clock until Wheeles is safely apprehended. Residents are encouraged to stay informed, exercise caution, and follow official updates closely.
