Motorcyclist Killed After Pickup Crosses Center Line in Lee County Crash

Posted on October 15, 2025 by Usainsightreport

LEE COUNTY, S.C. — A peaceful Tuesday evening turned tragic when a head-on collision claimed the life of a motorcyclist on SC Highway 341. The crash, which occurred just after 7:25 p.m. near Muck Stuckey Road, involved a 2023 Kawasaki and a 2015 Chevrolet pickup, the South Carolina Highway Patrol confirms.

The Kawasaki was traveling northbound when the southbound pickup truck reportedly veered over the center line, smashing into the motorcycle in a devastating collision. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but the motorcyclist, identified as Steven Miles Jr., succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup’s driver sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the crash. Lee County authorities confirmed Miles’ identity Wednesday morning.

Troopers from SCHP are investigating the incident. At this stage, it remains unclear whether speed, impairment, or another factor played a role in the collision.

Residents and motorists in the area are urged to remain vigilant, adhere to road safety measures, and exercise caution when sharing the road with motorcycles.

While the community mourns the sudden loss of a life, local law enforcement continues its fact-gathering. Updates will follow as the investigation unfolds.
