In Loving Memory of Jeremy Dempster

Posted on May 15, 2025 by Usainsightreport

Our Beloved Club Treasurer, Friend, and Pillar of Strength

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of our long-serving club treasurer, Jeremy Dempster. His loss has left a void that words can scarcely express, and his absence will be deeply felt not only in our club but throughout the broader community that was lucky enough to know him.

Jeremy was more than just a key member of our football club—he was a guiding presence, a loyal friend, and a tireless volunteer whose efforts shaped the very foundation of who we are today. His involvement with the club spanned over many years, and during that time he became the quiet force behind countless successes, the unseen engine that kept everything running, and the wise voice that helped navigate both challenges and triumphs.

As treasurer, Jeremy brought not only integrity and professionalism to his role, but also passion, dedication, and care. He treated the club’s finances as he treated everything in his life—with meticulous attention and unwavering responsibility. But his commitment extended far beyond the numbers. Jeremy was the first to arrive and often the last to leave. Whether it was painting lines on the pitch, setting up chairs for meetings, or standing in the pouring rain cheering on our teams, he gave all of himself with humility and joy.

To many, Jeremy was the heart of the club. He knew every player by name, followed every fixture, and celebrated every goal as though it were scored by his own family. He was a mentor to our youth, a sounding board for our committee, and a friend to everyone who crossed our path. His door was always open, his advice always sound, and his presence always comforting.

What set Jeremy apart was his unwavering belief in community. He understood that football was more than a game—it was a lifeline, a place for belonging, a home. He worked tirelessly to make sure that everyone, regardless of background or ability, had a place in our club. His efforts touched countless lives, and his legacy will continue to do so for many years to come.

As we come to terms with this immense loss, we also want to celebrate the remarkable life he lived. Jeremy gave so much of himself, and in doing so, helped build a community that reflects his values—honesty, generosity, kindness, and resilience. He will be remembered not only for what he did but for who he was: a man of deep compassion, gentle humor, and unwavering loyalty.

To Jeremy’s family, we extend our deepest condolences. Thank you for sharing him with us. Please know that the love and respect we hold for him will continue to shine through every match played, every meeting held, and every young player who puts on our club’s jersey.

In his honor, we will be dedicating this season to Jeremy. We will remember him at every kick-off and carry forward his spirit in all that we do.

Rest in peace, Jeremy. You were the soul of this club, and you will never be forgotten.

With heartfelt sorrow and enduring gratitude,
