In Loving Memory of Scott Mort Mort’s Towing and Salvage

Posted on May 17, 2025 by Usainsightreport

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our dear friend and fellow towman, Scott Mort of Mort’s Towing and Salvage. This is not just a loss for our industry—it’s a loss for our entire community, one that will be felt for a long time to come.

Scott wasn’t just a name in the towing world. He was a cornerstone—reliable, strong, and ever-present. In an industry that often demands grit, perseverance, and long hours, Scott brought all of that and more, wrapped in a quiet strength and genuine kindness that made him stand out. Whether you were a stranded driver in need of help, a fellow tow operator calling for backup, or just someone who needed a hand—Scott showed up. He was the kind of man who never had to be asked twice, the kind of friend who made life’s burdens feel a little lighter just by being there.

His work at Mort’s Towing and Salvage was more than just a business; it was a legacy. Built from the ground up with hard work and heart, Mort’s was a reflection of Scott himself: dependable, honest, and always ready to serve. Generations in the community knew the name not just for the services offered, but for the man behind them—a man who believed in doing things right, taking pride in every job, and treating every customer with dignity.

But Scott’s influence stretched far beyond business. He was a mentor to many, sharing his knowledge and experience without hesitation. He was a friend to all, quick with a smile and a steadying word when things got tough. And he was a family man, deeply devoted and grounded in the love he gave and received.

Those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him, sharing laughs at roadside recoveries or long conversations at truck stops and community events, will carry those memories like treasures. They remind us that Scott wasn’t just a towman—he was a force of good, a light in dark times, and someone whose legacy will live on in each of us who were fortunate enough to know him.

As we remember Scott, let us honor him not only in words, but in actions—by being there for each other, by helping without hesitation, and by upholding the values he exemplified every day.

To Scott Mort: thank you. For your service, your friendship, your leadership, and your heart. We’ll miss you more than words can say, but we promise to carry your memory forward with pride.

Our hearts are with Scott’s family, his team at Mort’s Towing and Salvage, and all those who loved him. Rest in peace, brother.
