Posted on May 23, 2025 by Usainsightreport

GRATIOT COUNTY, Mich. — The Gratiot County Sheriff’s Office has officially confirmed that a body discovered earlier this month in a Pine River Township field is that of 43-year-old Jenny Weir, who had been reported missing since late February.

Weir, a resident of Clare, was last seen in Clare County before her disappearance. Her body was found on May 3 by a local farmer working in a field along Alger Road, just north of M-46. Following the discovery, authorities worked to identify the remains, and on Thursday, they confirmed that the body was indeed Weir’s.

The investigation is ongoing as law enforcement continues to determine the circumstances surrounding her death. At this time, no additional details regarding the cause of death or potential suspects have been released.

Anyone with information related to Weir’s disappearance or death is encouraged to contact the Gratiot County Sheriff’s Office.
