WANTED: Gang-Affiliated Juveniles Clint Mooney and Keanu Nahinu Sought for Attempted Murder in Corning Shooting

Corning, California — A violent home invasion and shooting in Corning earlier this week has prompted an urgent manhunt for two 17-year-old suspects now wanted for attempted murder and a slew of other serious felony charges. The suspects—Clint Mooney of Orland and Keanu Nahinu of Yreka—are considered armed, dangerous, and gang-affiliated, according to the Corning Police Department.

Incident Details

The incident occurred in the early morning hours of June 24, 2025, just after midnight. Officers responded at 12:05 a.m. to the 1000 block of Prune Street following 911 reports of multiple gunshots and a man down.

Upon arriving at the scene, police located a 43-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. A 38-year-old female was also present at the residence but was not physically injured. Officers immediately administered aid before the male victim was transported to a hospital, where he remains under medical care.

According to police, Mooney and Nahinu forced their way into the victims’ residence while it was unoccupied and lay in wait. When the victims returned home and opened the door, they were confronted by the two suspects, both armed with firearms. Attempting to flee, the male victim was shot in the back during the chaos.

The suspects fled the scene on foot before authorities arrived.
