According to the Champaign Police Department, officers responded to emergency calls reporting gunfire and injuries at approximately 12:01 a.m. Upon arrival, police discovered two teenage boys, both age 16 and residents of Champaign, lying unconscious in a front yard. Both had sustained potentially life-threatening gunshot wounds.
