Remembering Jamila “Jam” Coleman: A Light Gone Too Soon

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Jamila “Jam” Coleman on June 27, 2025. Her departure has left an unfillable void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her life—bright, full of warmth, and anchored in love—will never be forgotten.

Jamila was not just a beloved daughter, sister, friend, and colleague—she was a radiant soul whose presence could light up any room. Known affectionately by those close to her as “Jam,” she was admired for her boundless compassion, her quiet strength, and the effortless way she brought people together. Whether through a kind word, a warm smile, or a helping hand, Jam made it her mission to lift others up, and that legacy of love continues to resonate.

Her sudden passing has shaken all who had the privilege of knowing her, but it has also united her community in reflection and gratitude for the time they shared with her. As tributes pour in, friends and loved ones describe her as a fierce advocate for others, a loyal confidante, and a deeply spiritual person who led with empathy and grace.

Jamila’s work, her laughter, her sense of purpose, and her deep care for her community left an impression that will not fade. From her involvement in social causes to her role within the #GreenHelmets community, Jam made it known through actions—not words alone—that kindness is a powerful force.

Though her life was tragically cut short, the impact of Jam’s spirit endures. Her memory will be cherished in quiet moments and loud laughter, in shared stories and silent prayers, and in the continued acts of love and service she inspired in others.

As we mourn this tremendous loss, we also celebrate Jamila’s life—a life defined by light, compassion, and a love that still echoes in every heart she touched.

Rest in peace, Jamila “Jam” Coleman.

You are loved. You are missed. You are remembered.
