In Loving Memory of Osvaldo “Oso” Sandoval

New Berlin, WI
1993 – 2025

It is with the deepest sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our dear friend, colleague, and family member, Osvaldo “Oso” Sandoval, who left us far too soon on April 23, 2025, at the age of 31. Oso passed away in New Berlin, Wisconsin, the city he called home and where he made a profound impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Oso was more than just a coworker at Fortress—he was a beacon of light, humor, and warmth within our team. His kindness was genuine, his laughter contagious, and his positive spirit unwavering even on the most challenging of days. Oso had a rare ability to make people feel seen, heard, and appreciated, and he carried that gift into every aspect of his life. Whether he was lending a helping hand, sharing a story that left us in stitches, or simply showing up with that signature smile, Oso reminded us what it means to be human, to care deeply, and to live fully.

To know Oso was to love him. His heart was vast, and the love he had for his family—especially his beloved 12-year-old son—was apparent in every conversation, every story, and every moment he shared. Oso was a devoted father, a proud friend, and an irreplaceable presence in our community. He worked hard not just to build a career, but to create a better life and a brighter future for his child, a testament to the strength and selflessness that defined who he was.

As we grieve this unimaginable loss, our thoughts are with Oso’s son, his family, and all those whose lives were touched by his light. We mourn not just the passing of a remarkable individual, but also the future moments we will now never share. Yet, in our grief, we also find gratitude—for the time we had, for the memories made, and for the love that continues to live on.

In the coming days, we invite everyone who knew and loved Oso to come together in remembrance. Whether through a shared story, a moment of silence, or a simple gesture of kindness in his name, let us honor the life he lived and the joy he brought into ours. Details about memorial services and ways to support Oso’s family, especially his son, will be shared soon.

Rest in peace, Oso. You were truly one of a kind, and though you are no longer with us in body, your spirit will remain in our hearts forever.

With love,
The Fortress Team
