Police investigating apparent murder-suicide at Axis Apartments in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department is investigating a tragic incident believed to be a murder-suicide that occurred Monday afternoon at the Axis Apartments, located on Glengarry Drive.

Officers responded to the complex shortly before 4:00 p.m. after receiving an emergency call.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered the bodies of a man and a woman inside an apartment unit.

Both individuals had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

While detectives are treating the case as a domestic-related murder-suicide, the exact circumstances and motive remain under investigation.

Officials have not yet released the names of the deceased, pending full family notifications.

The apartment scene remains secured as members of the Metro Police Department continue their investigation to determine the sequence of events that led to this fatal encounter.
