A man is recovering from a gunshot wound after a shooting that occurred late Monday night in northwest Atlanta, authorities confirmed.
According to officials with the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire at 1380 Donnelly Avenue NW shortly after 10:40 p.m. When they arrived on the scene, they discovered a 24-year-old man who had sustained a gunshot wound to his arm. Emergency medical personnel were quickly called to the location and transported the victim to a nearby hospital. Authorities say the injuries are non-life-threatening, and the man is expected to recover.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation. Police have not yet released the identity of the victim, and no suspects have been taken into custody as of Tuesday morning.
