Beloved Sacramento Man Struck and Killed Near Del Paso – Community Mourns “Bee”

Posted on November 5, 2025 by Usainsightreport

Late Sunday evening, just before 6:30 p.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department responded to a distress call at the intersection of Del Paso Boulevard and Marysville Boulevard in North Sacramento, where they discovered a male pedestrian in the roadway.

The victim has since been identified by his family as Bee Lao, a deeply respected figure in his community known for his warmth, work ethic and selfless spirit. According to loved ones, Bee was struck by the vehicle and tragically did not survive the incident, passing at the scene.

Initial reports from police suggested that the pedestrian may have been struck by two vehicles—one that remained at the scene, and another that fled. However, following further investigation, the department clarified that only a single vehicle was responsible for the collision. The driver who stayed reportedly cooperated with law enforcement and was not suspected of impairment by drugs or alcohol.

As word of Bee’s passing spread through the Sacramento area, messages of sorrow and remembrance began pouring in from family, friends and neighbors. Many highlighted how his smile could brighten a room, how he prioritized others above himself, and how his kindness left a lasting mark on everyone he met. In this moment of grief, the community is uniting in honoring the life of someone who gave so much without asking for anything in return.

The Sacramento Police Department continues to actively investigate the circumstances of the crash and is asking anyone with information — however small — to come forward to assist in the ongoing effort to bring clarity to this loss.

Bee’s family has also launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, and to support those left behind. Donations and messages of solidarity are being welcomed as the community seeks to provide comfort in a time of profound sadness.

No words can fully express the void left by Bee’s departure, but the love he shared and the lives he touched serve as a reminder of how one person can make the world a little kinder simply by being himself. His memory will live on in every warm smile, every quiet act of generosity, and every moment someone stops to ask “How are you ?” and means it.
