Bowie Man Fatally Shot in Home During Argument, Wife Charged with Murder

BOWIE, MD — A tragic domestic dispute in the early hours of Saturday, July 19, 2025, left a Bowie man dead and his wife facing murder charges. The Prince George’s County Police Department reported that 53-year-old Damian Ward was fatally shot during an argument with his 50-year-old wife, Nicole Lanett Ward, inside their home in the unincorporated section of Bowie, Maryland.

Police were dispatched to the couple’s residence in the 13200 block of Old Chapel Road at approximately 1:45 a.m. following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Damian Ward suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite efforts by first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
