Charlotte, North Carolina – Joelle Clesca was shot and killed at a Wing Stop restaurant on Beatties Ford Road in a shocking incident that has rattled the local community. The shooting occurred on October 12, 2025, during what should have been a routine visit for lemon pepper wings.
Authorities reported that a Chrysler 300 had pulled up outside the restaurant, carrying the suspect, Santario Turner, and other unidentified individuals. Turner briefly left the car to order food at a nearby restaurant before returning to the vehicle.
As Joelle entered the Wing Stop, the individuals in the Chrysler 300 reportedly contacted Turner to return to the car. Moments later, a masked individual exited the vehicle and entered the restaurant, opening fire on Joelle.
Joelle was struck in the chest and died at the scene, leaving a trail of blood across tables, food, and the cash register. Customers were left in shock as chaos erupted inside the restaurant.
The shooter then fled back to the Chrysler 300, which sped off immediately. Law enforcement officers arrived shortly after, securing the scene and providing assistance to traumatized patrons. Paramedics confirmed Joelle’s death on arrival.
Turner was arrested on October 14, charged with murder. Police clarified that Turner did not fire the weapon, and there is currently no proof that he planned or had prior knowledge of the shooting. He remains in custody pending further investigation.
