Chicago weather: Rain heading to the area tomorrow

Posted on September 13, 2025 by Usainsightreport

CHICAGO – Rain and thunderstorms are expected across the Chicago area Saturday, though the wet weather will not last all day.

A 60 to 70% chance of showers is predicted, with most of the city and surrounding areas, including the Lakeshore and the Illinois-Indiana line, likely to see rainfall. Some locations could pick up about a half-inch of rain before conditions begin to clear by late afternoon.

Skies are expected to turn partly cloudy Saturday evening and clear overnight. High temperatures will reach the low 80s, though showers could keep readings slightly cooler. Sunday is forecast to be the sunnier day of the weekend, with highs again in the low 80s.
