Clayton County, Georgia – Nnakai Pratt, a 6-month-old infant, tragically died from blunt force trauma after her body was discovered inside a trash bag, officials confirmed. The shocking case has left the community reeling as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death.

The discovery of Nnakai Pratt’s remains occurred on Tuesday, October 14, in the backyard of a home located off Green Valley Road. Law enforcement officers described the scene as horrifying and confirmed that the child had suffered severe trauma prior to being discarded.

The investigation began three days earlier, on Sunday, October 12, when police were called to respond to a reported robbery and kidnapping at 100 Valley Hill Road in Riverdale. Officers initially arrived to meet Antonio Pearce, the father of Nnakai Pratt.

Pearce told authorities that he had been robbed at gunpoint and claimed that his infant daughter had been taken during the incident. He described the location as a so-called “stash house,” stating that three pounds of marijuana and more than $6,000 in cash were present at the scene.

Pearce also indicated that Nnakai Pratt, her twin sister, and their mother, Necollete Pratt, were all at the location during the alleged abduction. According to his account, the robbery and kidnapping had occurred in a chaotic and violent manner, which prompted police to begin an immediate search.

As the investigation unfolded, detectives began to notice inconsistencies in Pearce’s statements. Certain details about the alleged robbery, the location of the infant, and Pearce’s own timeline did not align with physical evidence collected at the scene.

Further examination and interviews revealed that Pearce had fabricated significant portions of his account. Police determined that the kidnapping and robbery story was false and began focusing on the possibility that those closest to Nnakai Pratt may have been involved in her death.

Following an extensive investigation, both Antonio Pearce and Necollete Pratt, the child’s mother, were charged in connection with Nnakai Pratt’s death. Authorities allege that the infant suffered blunt force trauma prior to being discarded, indicating a violent and deliberate act that ended the child’s life.

Community leaders and child welfare advocates have expressed shock and sorrow over the tragedy, emphasizing the importance of vigilance in protecting vulnerable children. Clayton County officials have assured the public that a thorough investigation is ongoing to bring justice for Nnakai Pratt.

The case has highlighted systemic concerns about child safety and parental accountability, sparking renewed discussions about intervention strategies and resources for at-risk families. As Clayton County continues to process the tragedy, authorities urge anyone with additional information to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation..
