Six-month-old Nnakai Pratt, who vanished from his home Sunday in Riverdale, Georgia, is now confirmed to have a twin — a sibling who was never touched by the disappearance and is currently safe in the care of their mother. The Clayton County Police Department affirmed this detail late Monday, saying the mother is not considered a suspect.
From the moment officers rolled up to the 100 block of Valley Hill Road early Sunday morning, the case has simmered with suspicion and unanswered questions. According to law enforcement, Nnakai’s father, Antonio Pearce, reported that he had been robbed at gunpoint and that the assailants abducted their baby from his car seat carrier. But as detectives dug deeper, officials say his account began to crack.

By Monday afternoon, Pearce had been arrested — not for the kidnapping itself, but on unrelated charges including marijuana possession, driving on a suspended license, and violation of child restraint laws. While in custody, investigators officially labeled him a suspect in his son’s disappearance, citing problematic discrepancies between his statements and emerging physical evidence.
Authorities deployed bloodhounds from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and cadaver dogs from Georgia’s K-9 Search and Rescue teams, scouring the home, surrounding foliage, and nearby areas. They also executed search warrants at several linked properties — none of which have yet yielded clues about Nnakai’s whereabouts. Drone units and search teams from neighboring Spalding County have since joined the widening net.
Neighbors at the apartment complex where the child disappeared say the atmosphere has shifted palpably. One resident, who asked not to be named, said Pearce worked in maintenance at the complex and had always struck her as quiet and trouble-free. Others expressed heartbreak and helplessness at how a family’s nightmare became the community’s crisis so quickly.
Descriptions circulated by police list Nnakai as about 2 feet 1 inch in length, weighing roughly 11 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Despite the intense search efforts, there remains no confirmed sighting or credible lead indicating where he might be now.
As this case unfolds, the twin’s safe status draws both relief and heartbreak — a reminder of what’s been lost and what remains. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with possible information to contact Clayton County Police at 770-477-3550 or dial 911 immediately.
