According to the victim, she was awakened in the night by Eliezer Tanon, who began to physically assault her without warning. In a desperate attempt to escape and call for help, the woman reported that Tanon slashed her with a broken beer bottle, causing visible injuries. Despite the pain and fear, she managed to contact emergency services and tell dispatchers that Tanon had fled the scene on foot.

When deputies arrived at the South Lee County residence, they confirmed the victim’s account by observing injuries consistent with a violent assault. Given the severity of the incident, deputies immediately initiated a search for Eliezer Tanon.

K-9 Hondo Deployed to Track Tanon

Tanon sustained minor injuries during the takedown and was transported to Central Carolina Hospital (CCH) for evaluation and treatment. After being medically cleared, he was transported to the Lee County Detention Center.
