Folsom Man and Mother Arrested in Dog Fight Training Operation; 28 Malnourished Dogs Rescued

Posted on May 13, 2025 by Usainsightreport

Folsom, Louisiana — Authorities have arrested a Folsom man and his mother in connection with a disturbing dog fight training operation uncovered on their property. Law enforcement officials report that 28 dogs, suspected to be pit bulls, were found in deplorable conditions—severely malnourished and exhibiting visible injuries consistent with organized dog fighting.

The suspects, identified as Austin Alexander and Natia Simmons-Alexander, are currently being held in custody. Investigators say the dogs showed signs of prolonged abuse and neglect, with evidence on-site suggesting the animals were being trained and used in illegal fighting activities.

The operation was uncovered following a tip and subsequent investigation by local authorities and animal control officers. The dogs have since been rescued and are receiving urgent veterinary care.

“This is a tragic example of cruelty and exploitation,” officials said. “No animal should ever be subjected to this kind of suffering.”

Both suspects face multiple felony charges related to animal cruelty and dog fighting. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may follow.
