Gianna Helene Kistenmacher, 17, Arrested for Assisting Devan Raper in Johnsonville Murder Investigation

Johnsonville, SC – The Florence County Sheriff’s Office has made an additional arrest in connection with the June 24, 2025, fatal shooting on 1st Neck Road near Johnsonville, identifying a second individual believed to have played a role in the deadly incident.

Gianna Helene Kistenmacher, age 17, of Palmetto Glen Drive in Myrtle Beach, was arrested earlier today and charged with Accessory Before the Fact to a Felony under South Carolina Code Annotated 16-01-040.

According to investigators, Kistenmacher is accused of aiding murder suspect Devan Raper, 20, by knowingly transporting him to the scene of the shooting, despite being aware that Raper was armed and prepared for a violent confrontation. Authorities allege that statements made in Kistenmacher’s presence prior to the incident indicated a strong likelihood of violence or death, yet she still facilitated Raper’s arrival at the location.

The primary suspect, Devan Raper, was previously arrested and charged with murder in connection with the shooting. Officials believe Raper carried out the deadly act following a confrontation at the scene.

Kistenmacher is currently being held at the Florence County Detention Center, where she remains in custody awaiting a bond hearing.

This development marks a significant step forward in what remains an active and ongoing investigation. The Florence County Sheriff’s Office has stated that additional arrests and charges may follow as more evidence becomes available.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Florence County Sheriff’s Office or provide tips anonymously through Crimestoppers at 901-528-CASH.

For additional details or media inquiries, please reach out to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Office.
