Spring, Texas — Late Thursday night, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Precinct 4 responded to a flurry of 911 calls reporting gunfire in the 21300 block of Hannover Forest Drive. When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Paramedics were called immediately, but the victim was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities later confirmed that one individual has been detained in connection with the shooting.
Investigators say they are now working through the night — canvassing neighbors, interviewing witnesses, and sifting through forensic evidence — in hopes of building a clearer picture of exactly how things unfolded. As of now, the suspect’s identity hasn’t been publicly released, and no formal motive has been confirmed.
Residents in the vicinity have been urged to steer clear of the area. With the crime scene still active and patrols heavy, law enforcement officials say it’s critical to keep the perimeter secure while they do their work.
In a public statement, Constable Herman extended his deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the victim, asking the community to keep them in thoughts and prayers as this investigation continues.
More details are expected to emerge soon — and updates will be shared as new information becomes available.
