With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Diondra Shanette Jones, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and community member, who departed this life on April 25, 2025. She was 43 years old.
Diondra’s life was one marked by grace, compassion, and unwavering love. A native of Richmond, Virginia, Diondra was known for her warm spirit, contagious laughter, and an open heart that welcomed everyone she encountered. Whether she was offering a listening ear, volunteering in her community, or simply being a steady and loving presence to those around her, Diondra left a lasting impression wherever she went.
Family was at the center of Diondra’s world. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, and her selflessness and support uplifted generations. Diondra’s nurturing nature extended far beyond her immediate family — she was a mother figure, a mentor, and a loyal friend to many. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, wisdom, and strength.
Diondra had a deep faith that carried her through life’s many seasons. Her resilient spirit and gentle soul brought comfort and inspiration to those who knew her best. She believed in the power of community, always striving to uplift those in need, and was a source of encouragement to many during their most difficult times.
A public viewing will be held on May 9, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at March Funeral Home, located in Richmond, Virginia. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Diondra’s life. A funeral service will follow on May 10, 2025, beginning at 3:30 p.m., also at March Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and honor the beautiful life of a woman who gave so much and asked for so little in return.
Diondra’s absence will be felt deeply, but her memory will forever live in the hearts of those who loved her. As we grieve this tremendous loss, we ask for your prayers and support for Diondra’s family and friends.
