It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Rhonda D. Hopkins, who left us after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. A shining light in the world of medicine and an inspiration to all who knew her, Dr. Hopkins departed this life surrounded by the love of her family, friends, and the medical community she so faithfully served.

Dr. Hopkins was not just a physician—she was a healer in the truest sense. For over two decades, she served her patients with dedication, empathy, and grace. At Snyder-Hopkins Family Medicine Center, she was a cornerstone—a guiding presence who infused every interaction with kindness and clinical excellence. Her patients often described her as not only their doctor but their confidante and champion. To her colleagues, she was a wise mentor, a reliable partner, and a source of strength even in the most challenging times.

Born with a quiet brilliance and an unwavering sense of purpose, Dr. Hopkins pursued a career in medicine not for accolades, but because she genuinely cared for people. She believed in the power of compassionate care, and she practiced it each day with humility and dedication. Even in the face of her own illness, she continued to show up for others—offering hope, comfort, and strength from her own deep reserves.

Dr. Hopkins’s battle with breast cancer was marked by tremendous bravery. She fought with the same resilience and grace that defined her life and her work. Her journey was a testament to the human spirit—a story not only of endurance but of profound love, unwavering faith, and relentless courage.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Hopkins was a devoted daughter, sister, and friend. She brought warmth and wisdom into every room she entered. Her laughter could ease tension, and her insight could turn uncertainty into clarity. She loved deeply and lived fully, cherishing the quiet moments just as much as the grand ones.

To say she will be missed is an understatement. Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, yet her legacy will endure in the countless lives she touched, the students she mentored, the families she comforted, and the colleagues she uplifted. Her spirit will continue to inspire us to be better caregivers, better listeners, and better human beings.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Hopkins family and to all who mourn the loss of this extraordinary woman. May we carry her memory with honor and live each day with the same compassion and courage that she so effortlessly embodied.

With deepest sympathy and enduring respect,
Snyder-Hopkins Family Medicine Center
