In Loving Memory of Jemeire C. Hite

A Life Full of Promise, A Legacy That Lives On

It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we acknowledge the passing of Jemeire C. Hite, a beloved member of the Central High School Class of 2025. On May 24, Jemeire crossed the graduation stage with pride, surrounded by classmates, teachers, and family who celebrated his remarkable journey and the bright future that lay ahead. That moment, full of hope and joy, now stands as a poignant reminder of a life full of potential and promise.

Jemeire was more than just a student; he was a shining light in our school community—a young man whose energy, kindness, and determination touched the lives of all who had the honor of knowing him. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or in the quiet everyday moments between friends and peers, Jemeire carried himself with grace, integrity, and a quiet strength that inspired others.

The news of his passing has sent ripples of grief throughout Lunenburg County Public Schools and beyond. As we grapple with this heartbreaking loss, we remember Jemeire not only for his accomplishments but for the person he was: compassionate, driven, thoughtful, and full of life. His laughter, his dreams, and his dedication will never be forgotten.

On behalf of Lunenburg County Public Schools, I extend our deepest condolences to Jemeire’s family, friends, and loved ones. Our hearts break with yours, and we stand beside you during this incredibly difficult time. We honor Jemeire’s memory and the profound impact he made in his short time with us. His spirit will always be a part of Central High School—woven into the fabric of our community and the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

To our students and staff, please know that school counselors and support services are available as we walk through this shared grief. We encourage anyone in need to reach out. You are not alone.

Let us remember Jemeire not only in our sorrow but in our ongoing commitment to kindness, resilience, and compassion—the very qualities he so beautifully embodied. May his memory be a guiding light for us all, and may we honor his life by living ours with purpose and love.

With deepest sympathy and respect,
Dr. Sharon H. Stanislas
Superintendent
Lunenburg County Public Schools
