It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joshua Roy Sotelo, age 33, of Midland, Texas, who departed this life on April 22, 2025. Joshua was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose spirit touched the lives of all who had the blessing of knowing him.

Born and raised in Midland, Joshua carried with him the values of integrity, resilience, and compassion throughout his life. From a young age, he demonstrated a curious mind and a generous heart. Those who knew him best remember his easy laughter, his unwavering loyalty, and his ability to light up any room with his presence.

Joshua was a devoted husband to his soulmate, Christina. Their love was a true partnership rooted in friendship, mutual respect, and deep affection. Together, they built a life filled with waSet featured imagermth, laughter, and shared dreams. As a father, Joshua found his greatest joy in his daughter, Coraline. He embraced fatherhood with boundless love, and every moment spent with Coraline was a testament to the kind, patient, and playful man he was. His eyes sparkled whenever he spoke of her, and his pride in her was limitless.

Family was at the heart of everything Joshua did. He is survived by his loving parents, whose guidance and encouragement helped shape the remarkable man he became. He also leaves behind siblings who will forever cherish his kindness, humor, and the close bonds they shared. His in-laws, too, held Joshua in the highest regard and were thankful for the love and care he showed to their daughter and granddaughter.

Joshua’s life was a tapestry of meaningful connections and treasured memories. Whether on a family road trip, at a backyard barbecue with friends, or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home, Joshua approached life with appreciation and presence. His passions ranged from music and storytelling to mentoring others and offering a listening ear when someone needed it most.

To know Joshua was to be uplifted by his optimism, steadied by his strength, and inspired by his unwavering love for his family. He lived fully and gave generously, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and a community that will never forget him.

The Sotelo family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, support, and condolences received during this incredibly difficult time. Every kind word, prayer, and gesture has brought comfort and strength to those who grieve his loss.

A private service will be held to celebrate Joshua’s life, and a public memorial will be announced in the coming weeks for all who wish to honor his memory.

Please keep the Sotelo family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this profound loss. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity that supports young families or mental health—causes that mattered deeply to Joshua.
