Posted on May 12, 2025 by Usainsightreport

Michael Carpenter, a cherished member of the Irish-American community, passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on June 20, 1965, in Swords, County Dublin, Ireland, he was the beloved son of Albert and Teresa Carpenter. Michael emigrated to the United States in 1989, beginning his American journey in the Irish community of Bainbridge Avenue in the Bronx, later settling in Yonkers, and eventually making his home in Pearl River, New York, where he spent the past 18 years.

A skilled and hardworking craftsman, Michael owned and operated MC Flooring in Pearl River. His dedication to his trade earned him the respect and admiration of clients and colleagues alike. Beyond his profession, Michael was a passionate member of the Celtic Motorcycle Club, finding camaraderie and adventure among fellow bikers.

Above all, Michael was a devoted family man. He found his greatest joy in the love he shared with his family, especially his children, Calum and Eden. Michael is survived by Elaine Carpenter and their two beloved children. He is also mourned by his sister, Orla Burke, her husband Ronan, and their extended family and friends in both the United States and Ireland.

To honor Michael’s life, visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 14, at 10:00 AM at St. Margaret R.C. Church in Pearl River, New York. Michael will then be laid to rest at Dardistown Cemetery in Dublin, Ireland. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.

Michael Carpenter’s life was one of love, resilience, and craftsmanship. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
