Steven William Waltl, a beloved son, brother, friend, and community member, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2025, at the young age of 36. His passing leaves behind a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. As we remember Steven, we celebrate a life filled with compassion, generosity, and an unwavering kindness that touched everyone who crossed his path.
Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Steven was known for his warm heart and his ability to make others feel valued and seen. From a young age, he had an innate ability to listen deeply, laugh sincerely, and connect genuinely with people. These qualities remained with him throughout his life and defined the person he became — someone whose presence brought comfort, joy, and strength to those around him.
Steven’s gentle nature and quiet resilience left a lasting impression on his family and friends. He carried a spirit of empathy that made others feel at home, even during their darkest moments. He believed in kindness, lived with humility, and often put the needs of others ahead of his own. Whether through a shared joke, a helping hand, or simply showing up when it mattered most, Steven had a way of letting people know they were never alone.
He had a love for music, art, and quiet walks in nature — places where he found solace and inspiration. A deep thinker and a loyal friend, Steven often reminded those around him of the beauty in the simple things, and his thoughtful presence made ordinary days feel meaningful.
Though his time with us was far too short, the memories we have of Steven will live on — in the stories we tell, the laughter we remember, and the compassion we strive to emulate in our own lives. His legacy is not just in what he did, but in how he made people feel — loved, heard, and supported.
Steven is survived by family members and friends who will forever carry the light of his life within their hearts. In this time of loss, may we find comfort in each other and in the beautiful moments we shared with him.
A visitation to honor and remember Steven will be held on May 27, 2025, at Peters Township Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service. All who knew Steven and were touched by his life are warmly invited to attend, to pay tribute, and to support one another as we say goodbye.
Please keep Steven’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this time of mourning. May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory be a guiding light for all of us.
