In Memory of Jason Flanders: Honoring a Valued Member of Our WestJet Family

It is with deep sorrow that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of a Good colleague and friend, Jason Flanders, a dedicated member of  WestJet team. Jason’s unexpected departure has left our hearts heavy, and we extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Jason was more than just a team member—he was part of the fabric that holds our WestJet community together. His professionalism, positive energy, and unwavering commitment made a lasting impression on those around him. Whether he was helping a guest, supporting a coworker, or simply sharing a smile in the crew room, Jason brought warmth and reliability to everything he did.

His loss is deeply felt throughout our organization, especially by those who worked closely with him. We are reminded in this moment just how strong the bonds are among our team, and how fortunate we were to have shared time with someone as genuine and kind as Jason.

As we mourn, we also reflect with gratitude on the legacy he leaves behind—one of respect, friendship, and quiet excellence.

Rest in peace, Jason Flanders. You will always remain a part of the WestJet family.
