IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Sheriff’s Office Identifies and Charges Suspects in Eastern Iredell Home Burglary; One Still at Large
IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — An attempted home burglary in eastern Iredell County has led to multiple felony charges against three suspects, thanks to swift action by law enforcement and vital tips from the community. The incident occurred on Thursday, June 5, 2025, when the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported breaking and entering at a private residence.
Surveillance Alert Sparks Investigation
The homeowner, who was out of town at the time, contacted authorities after receiving a real-time alert from their home security system. Upon checking their surveillance feed, the homeowner observed two individuals inside the residence actively removing personal belongings. The suspects were seen exiting the property and departing in a silver passenger vehicle. The video footage, which captured clear images of the suspects and their vehicle, was immediately provided to deputies.
Although deputies arrived on the scene shortly after the alert, the suspects had already fled the area. Crime Scene Investigators and Detectives were dispatched to collect evidence and begin a thorough investigation.
Detective Rogers Leads Breakthrough in Case
The case was assigned to Detective C. Rogers, who conducted interviews with neighbors and witnesses in the vicinity of the burglary. Based on surveillance footage and local testimonies, Detective Rogers was able to identify three suspects, all residents of Statesville:
- Brandon Samir Adams, 18
- Daylan Grant Hallman, 25
- Fred Cox IV, 23
The investigation linked all three to the break-in, leading to a series of arrests.
Arrests and Charges Filed
Brandon Samir Adams was arrested on Wednesday, June 10, 2025. He faces the following charges:
- Two Counts of Felony Breaking or Entering
- Felony Larceny after Breaking or Entering
- Felony Conspiracy
Adams appeared before District Court Judge C. Marlow, who issued a $75,000 secured bond.
Daylan Grant Hallman was apprehended the following day, on Thursday, June 12, and charged with:
- Felony Breaking and Entering
- Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering
- Felony Conspiracy
In Hallman’s case, Magistrate Imes issued No Bond, indicating the severity of the allegations.
Fred Cox IV, the third suspect, remains at large. A warrant has been issued for his arrest on charges of Felony Conspiracy. Authorities are actively searching for Cox and urge the public to come forward with any information regarding his whereabouts.
