Joseph Dowling and Zachary Prince Arrested in Brunswick County Child Exploitation Investigations

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU) has made significant progress in its ongoing mission to protect children and pursue justice for victims of abuse. As a result of recent investigations, Joseph David Dowling and Zachary Prince have been arrested and charged in separate cases involving serious offenses against minors.

Joseph David Dowling Charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor

Joseph David Dowling, 28, of Oak Haven Road in Bolivia, has been charged with 10 counts of Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. This charge is typically associated with the possession or access of material that contains sexually explicit images or videos involving minors.

The charges followed an extensive investigation led by the SVU, which involved digital forensic analysis and search warrants. Dowling was taken into custody without incident, and the case remains active as investigators continue to examine digital evidence that may lead to further charges.

Zachary Prince Charged with Indecent Liberties with a Child

Zachary Prince, 40, of Little Prong Road in Ash, was arrested and charged with 10 counts of Indecent Liberties with a Child. This felony charge involves allegations of engaging in sexually inappropriate behavior with a minor.

SVU investigators acted on credible information and conducted a comprehensive investigation that led to Prince’s arrest. The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the case is still developing, and additional information may be released as the investigation continues.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has commended the tireless efforts of its Special Victims Unit, recognizing their dedication to protecting vulnerable children and bringing offenders to justice.
