A tragic accident occurred on Sunday morning, October 19, 2025, near Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, resulting in the death of 45-year-old David Anderson from Miltona. The incident took place shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Highway 29, just south of 108th Street in Otter Tail County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Anderson was riding his 2005 Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle northbound on Highway 29 when a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, driven by 90-year-old Jurlienne Ella Riedel of Parkers Prairie, attempted to turn east into a private driveway. The motorcycle collided with the van, and moments later, Anderson was struck by a passing 2013 Buick Regal driven by a 51-year-old man from Ivanhoe, Minnesota. The drivers of both the van and the Buick were uninjured in the crash.
Emergency responders from multiple agencies, including the Minnesota State Patrol, Otter Tail and Douglas County Sheriff’s Offices, Parkers Prairie Fire Department, Department of Natural Resources, Parkers Prairie Ambulance, and North Ambulance Service, arrived at the scene. Despite their efforts, Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
