INDIANAPOLIS, IN – July 5, 2025 – Authorities in Indianapolis are investigating a shooting incident that left at least three people injured early Saturday morning in the heart of downtown. The gunfire erupted just before 1:30 a.m. near the busy intersection of West Market Street and North Illinois Street, an area known for its nightlife and foot traffic.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of gunshots in the area. When they arrived, they discovered multiple victims suffering from injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
