Posted on April 27, 2025 by Usainsightreport

A naked woman reportedly jumped out of a moving car onto a highway in order to escape a kidnapping in Tennessee.

Police were called to a gas station in South Nashville after a burglary alarm went off at around 12:45 a.m. local time on Thursday, April 24, per local outlet WKRN. At the gas station, officers discovered a naked woman, covered in abrasions, who was in need of immediate medical assistance, according to court documents obtained by the outlet.

The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she told investigators she had been arguing with her ex-boyfriend, 24-year-old Marquintis Jenkins, for several hours, per WKRN. She added that Jenkins ripped off her clothes and attempted to strangle her, then pointed an AR-15 style rifle at her and forced her to get in his car.

The woman then told investigators that Jenkins began driving and said he was taking her to J. Percy Priest Lake to “watch her drown,” per WKRN. Court documents stated that he continued to punch and strangle her whenever the vehicle was stopped,

TOPSHOT - Police cars sit on Main Street in Dallas following the sniper shooting during a protest on July 7, 2016. A fourth police officer was killed and two suspected snipers were in custody after a protest late Thursday against police brutality in Dallas, authorities said. One suspect had turned himself in and another who was in a shootout with SWAT officers was also in custody, the Dallas Police Department tweeted

According to the outlet, the court documents stated that the woman eventually jumped from the car while traveling on Murfreesboro Pike, a local highway, and ran toward a nearby gas station.

She said that Jenkins turned the car around to look for her, but she hid in nearby bushes, waiting until it was safe to run into the gas station, where she hid in the back of the store until authorities arrived, per the outlet.

According to public records from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, Jenkins was arrested and booked later that day on multiple charges, including aggravated assault, kidnapping and attempted homicide. His bond is set at $260,000.

PEOPLE reached out to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office for comment on Saturday, April 26, but did not receive an immediate response.

Jenkins is scheduled to next appear in court on Monday, April 28.
