Remembering Paul Waldeck of Raywick, Kentucky: A Loving Father, Devoted Husband, and Loyal Friend

RAYWICK, KY — The community of Raywick is grieving the sudden loss of Paul Waldeck, a beloved resident who passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 42. Paul died peacefully at his home, surrounded by the life and love he built with his family. His passing leaves a deep void in the lives of those who knew him, but his legacy of laughter, love, and unwavering devotion will live on in the hearts of many.

A Life Rooted in Passion and Family

Paul Waldeck was known for his warm heart, sharp wit, and endless dedication to the people and passions that meant the most to him. Whether it was diving into the latest fantasy football draft, talking about wrestling with excitement and detail, or simply spending quality time with his children, Paul lived a life full of energy and joy.

A self-proclaimed sports fanatic, Paul brought a competitive edge to fantasy football that was matched only by his encyclopedic knowledge of pro wrestling. He loved the community and camaraderie that came with these interests, and he made lasting friendships through both. His playful banter, strategic thinking, and enthusiastic storytelling became hallmarks of his personality — traits that drew people in and made them feel welcome.

But more than anything, Paul was a family man. He was a proud and present father to Rylee and Connor, always cheering them on, guiding them, and filling their lives with laughter. To his wife, Nikki, he was a loving partner and best friend — a man who stood by her side in all things, whose loyalty and love were never in question.

Remembered by Loved Ones

In addition to his wife and children, Paul is survived by his mother, Lisa, and his siblings, all of whom were close to him and shared a lifetime of memories and moments. He was a son and brother who brought joy into every family gathering, who showed up when it mattered most, and whose absence will be profoundly felt.

Those who knew Paul best describe him as someone who was never afraid to be himself — a man with a big laugh, a bigger heart, and an ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Whether you knew him for decades or had just met him, you likely walked away feeling like you’d found a friend.

A Community Says Goodbye

A Funeral Mass in Paul’s honor will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2025, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Raywick, where family, friends, and community members will gather to celebrate his life, offer prayers, and share the stories that made Paul unforgettable. In this sacred space, the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the strength he offered will be honored with reverence and gratitude.

Though his time here was cut far too short, Paul Waldeck leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and wholehearted living. His children will grow up with the stories of a father who adored them beyond measure. His wife will carry the bond they built. His community will remember the man who made life brighter simply by being himself.

In Loving Memory

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Paul’s name to a local youth sports program or charity of choice — a fitting tribute for a man who found so much joy in the games, stories, and dreams that shaped his world.

Rest in peace, Paul Waldeck. Your impact will be felt for generations, and your memory will live on in every touchdown cheer, every wrestling match watched, and every life you touched with your kindness.
