SEEKING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE: New York State Police Search for Two Missing Teens in Cassadaga

CASSADAGA, N.Y. — The New York State Police (SP Fredonia) are urgently seeking the public’s help in locating two missing teenage girls last seen in the village of Cassadaga during the early morning hours of Thursday, June 19. The families of Liliana Payne, age 16, and Luna Farmer, age 15, are desperately hoping for answers as law enforcement agencies intensify their search for the missing teens.

What We Know So Far

According to authorities, Liliana and Luna were last seen together at approximately 2:00 a.m. in the village of Cassadaga, located in Chautauqua County. They were reportedly on foot, and their current whereabouts are unknown. The circumstances surrounding their disappearance have not been disclosed in detail, but investigators believe that the girls may still be in the area—or could have traveled outside the region.

Luna Farmer, 15, was described as wearing glasses in the most recent photograph provided by authorities. No clothing descriptions or additional identifiers for either teen have been released publicly at this time, but police say they are continuing to gather leads and examine surveillance footage from the area.

Active Investigation Underway

Troopers from SP Fredonia, along with other regional law enforcement units, are currently conducting a multi-agency investigation into the teens’ disappearance. Ground searches, digital tracing, and interviews with friends, family members, and area residents are all part of the ongoing efforts.

Officials have not confirmed whether foul play is suspected, but they are treating this case with urgency due to the girls’ ages and the late-night timing of their last known appearance.

“We are doing everything possible to locate Liliana and Luna and return them safely to their families,” said a spokesperson for the New York State Police. “We ask that anyone who has seen them or has any information—no matter how minor it may seem—please come forward.”

How You Can Help

The New York State Police are asking members of the public to remain alert and report any sightings or information that could help locate Liliana Payne and Luna Farmer.

Anyone with tips is encouraged to call NYSP at (585) 344-6200 immediately. All calls can be kept confidential upon request.

Authorities are also asking residents and business owners in and around Cassadaga, Stockton, Fredonia, and surrounding areas to check any home security or doorbell cameras for suspicious activity between 1:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on June 19.

Community Support and Concern

As news of the girls’ disappearance spreads, community members have begun sharing flyers and social media posts in an effort to raise awareness and locate the missing teens. The Cassadaga community, known for its tight-knit nature, has been visibly shaken by the news and is rallying in support of the families.

“These are two young girls with their whole lives ahead of them,” said one concerned neighbor. “We just want them to come home safe.”

Family members of both Liliana and Luna have expressed their gratitude for the community’s support and are pleading with the public to stay vigilant.
