Posted on July 28, 2025 by Usainsightreport

Elkton, MD — The Cecil County community is grappling with the heartbreaking loss of Zachary Keck, 42, of Princeton, New Jersey, and Wallace Tsoi, 41, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who perished in a single-vehicle crash on the night of Saturday, July 26, 2025.

The Cecil County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call at approximately 11:00 p.m. regarding a severe accident in the 200 block of Fairview Road, near Telegraph Road (Route 273), just north of Elkton. First responders discovered a 2024 Jeep Wrangler that had veered off the roadway and was found overturned in a nearby field.

Zachary Keck, identified as the driver, and Wallace Tsoi, the passenger, were both pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency personnel. According to Lt. Michael Zack, a spokesperson for the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office, an onboard vehicle system automatically alerted 9-1-1 to the crash, enabling a swift response from authorities.

Preliminary investigations by the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit indicate that excessive speed was likely a contributing factor in the incident. The Jeep Wrangler is believed to have failed to negotiate a curve on Fairview Road, leading to the vehicle leaving the roadway and rolling multiple times. The investigation remains active as authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the crash.

The Cecil County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public to aid in the investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Cpl. Michael Thomas at (410) 392-2151 or via email at [email protected]. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the Sheriff’s Office tip line at (410) 392-2180.

The untimely deaths of Keck and Tsoi have sent shockwaves through their communities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, leaving family and friends in profound grief. As the investigation continues, their loved ones and those touched by their lives hold their memories close, honoring the legacies of two individuals taken too soon.
