Suspect in Andrews Domestic Violence Shooting Now in Custody

ANDREWS, S.C. — Sheriff Carter Weaver has confirmed the arrest of Tyquan Kevin Palmer, 20, of Circle Drive in Williamsburg County, following a violent domestic incident that unfolded in the town of Andrews on Saturday night. Palmer now faces multiple serious charges including Attempted Murder, First-Degree Burglary, and four counts of Assault and Battery in the First Degree.

According to authorities, the incident began when Palmer allegedly forced his way into a woman’s residence on West Myrtle Road, where he physically assaulted her. After the confrontation inside the home, Palmer reportedly went outside and fired multiple shots into a screen door and a wall, escalating the situation and endangering the safety of nearby residents.

Responding deputies quickly apprehended Palmer, who is currently being held without bail at the Georgetown County Detention Center, awaiting a bond hearing.

Sheriff Weaver emphasized the severity of the charges and reiterated the department’s commitment to pursuing justice in cases of domestic violence and gun violence.
