Posted on May 23, 2025 by Usainsightreport

On Thursday night, a tragic shooting in Fort Ann, New York, claimed the lives of two 19-year-old men from Glens Falls. The victims, identified as Adam M. Darrah and Marcus J. Macaulay, were found gravely injured on Clay Hill Road around 9:00 p.m. Despite being rushed to Glens Falls Hospital, both succumbed to their injuries later that evening.

Law enforcement agencies, including the New York State Police and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, responded promptly to reports of gunfire in the rural area southeast of Comstock. Upon arrival, they discovered the two young men lying in the roadway with life-threatening injuries.

A suspect is currently in custody, though authorities have not yet released the individual’s identity. Washington County District Attorney Tony Jordan indicated that murder charges are likely, with an arraignment expected at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the county jail in Fort Edward.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be submitted by calling 518-457-6811 or emailing [email protected].

As the community mourns the loss of two young lives, authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this senseless act of violence.
