The incident occurred around 12:50 a.m. in the 6000 block of Cherryhill Avenue. According to the Houston Police Department, the violence began when an uninvited guest was asked to leave the event and subsequently opened fire. Others at the party returned gunfire, leading to a chaotic scene with multiple casualties.
The deceased, an 18-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the hospital. His identity has not been officially released pending family notification. The injured individuals, ranging in age from 16 to 40, were transported to local hospitals, with several in critical condition undergoing surgery.
