The shooting occurred at their residence on Oak Meadows in Covington, shortly after midnight on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m.
Deputies from the Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) responded to reports of a double shooting and arrived at the scene to find 53-year-old Willie Glenn, the husband of Kowanda and father of Mikhail, present at the home. According to authorities, Willie Glenn reported that his wife and son had been fatally shot inside the residence. Following an initial investigation, Glenn was arrested at the scene and now faces serious charges, including two counts of murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
