URGENT: Winder Police Searching for Three Missing Teenage Sisters Last Seen at Apartment Playground

ATLANTA, Ga – The Winder Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating three teenage sisters who went missing on Thursday afternoon. The girls—Caidyn McCou, Ashlyn McCou, and Raegyn McCou—were last seen at the playground area of the Exchange Apartments complex in Winder, Georgia, sparking deep concern for their safety and wellbeing.

Who They Are

The three sisters are believed to have left the area together and have not been seen or heard from since. Authorities say it is unusual behavior for the girls to go missing without contact and are treating the case with utmost seriousness.

  • Caidyn McCou, 16 years old, is described as being last seen wearing:
    • A light tan shirt
    • Black shorts
    • Purple or red Crocs/slides
  • Ashlyn McCou, 15 years old, was last seen wearing:
    • A black Russell Middle School hoodie
    • Blue jean shorts
    • Possibly a red and gold scarf
  • Raegyn McCou, also 15 years old, was last seen wearing:
    • A black Mickey and Minnie Mouse hoodie
    • Black biker shorts

The sisters were last seen together near the playground in their residential complex, a familiar and typically safe area, which has only deepened concern over their sudden disappearance.

Investigation Ongoing

The Winder Police Department has launched an active investigation and is working closely with surrounding law enforcement agencies to locate the girls. Officers have canvassed the neighborhood, interviewed potential witnesses, and reviewed available surveillance footage. However, as of Friday morning, there has been no confirmed sighting or contact with any of the girls since they were last seen.

Capt. Chris Cooper of the Winder Police Department is leading the investigation and emphasized the importance of the public’s role in helping to locate the girls quickly.

“Time is critical in any missing persons case, especially when minors are involved,” Capt. Cooper said. “We ask everyone in the community to be vigilant and report any information—no matter how small—immediately.”

How to Help

The Winder Police Department urges anyone with information about the sisters’ whereabouts, potential sightings, or suspicious activity near the Exchange Apartments on the day they vanished to call 911 immediately.

Community Reaction

News of the sisters’ disappearance has sparked growing concern across Winder and surrounding Barrow County communities. Social media posts and neighborhood forums have been flooded with shares of the girls’ photos and descriptions. Local residents have begun organizing small search parties and distributing flyers, hoping to spread awareness and generate new leads.

“Our hearts go out to the family,” said one neighbor near the Exchange Apartments. “We’re praying for the girls’ safe return and doing everything we can to help.”

What You Can Do

  • Share their photos and descriptions on social media platforms.
  • Check your security cameras or doorbell footage if you live in the area.
  • Talk to your children or neighbors—they may have seen or heard something.
  • Be on the lookout in public spaces, including parks, convenience stores, bus stations, and transportation hubs.

A Plea From Authorities and Family

While foul play has not been confirmed, authorities are not ruling out any possibilities. The Winder Police Department stresses that the investigation remains fluid and ongoing, and community cooperation is essential.

“We need the public’s help,” Capt. Cooper reiterated. “These are someone’s daughters, someone’s sisters. If you know anything, please come forward.”

The McCou family, devastated and desperate for answers, is pleading for their daughters’ safe return and asks for privacy and prayers as the search continues.
