Young Man Killed, Teen Suspect Still on the Run in Chesterfield County

Posted on November 4, 2025 by Usainsightreport

In the quiet of a Saturday night, tragedy struck on the 20900 block of Third Avenue in Chesterfield County, Virginia. It was around 11:02 p.m. on October 4, 2025, when the Chesterfield County Police Department received an assault with a deadly weapon call — and what they discovered shook the community. Victim Omarion Bryant, age 20, of nearby Dinwiddie County, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene despite desperate life‑saving efforts.

Investigators swiftly zeroed in on a suspect: 19‑year‑old Latrell Keyjuan Creighton, of Dinwiddie’s Brunswick Avenue. A warrant for second‑degree murder was issued, and authorities describe Creighton as a Black male standing about 5 feet 11 inches, weighing around 165 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a distinctive tattoo across the front of his neck.

Already, two related arrests have been made in connection with the case. On October 6, the police arrested Jalen Johnson of Prince George County, charged with accessory after the fact of homicide. He is held without bond in Chesterfield County Jail.

Shortly thereafter, the suspect’s father, Cordarious Berry, 39, of Hopewell, was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance and possession of ammunition by a felon. Berry is being held at Riverside Regional Jail for a probation violation.

As of now, Creighton remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Investigators believe he may have received assistance to evade capture and may have travelled to Jackson, Tennessee, where he reportedly has family ties. Authorities are collaborating with Tennessee agencies and continue to urge anyone with information to come forward.

The police have turned to the public for help—reinforcing the message that no tip is too small and that community cooperation is critical if the case is to be brought to a close and justice is to be done for Omarion Bryant. Readers are urged that if they see Creighton, not to approach him, but to immediately dial 911.

For those who may have any information: contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at 804‑748‑1251, the Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers at 804‑748‑0660, or submit an anonymous tip through the P3 Tips app. The search continues, and the community waits with heavy hearts for resolution.
